Custom Woven Blankets Gift Card
Help Us Give 10 FREE Blankets to Veterans in Local Nursing Homes

This business started because my Dad, Paul, volunteered with a group providing Christmas gifts to veterans in nursing homes. He created custom cotton blankets with the emblem of the veteran's branch of service, their name, and service dates. They were a HUGE hit, sparking reminiscing and conversation even among the "silent types." The rich, bold colors in the throws also brightened up the veterans' rooms, which in care facilities are often shades of beige or white.
I now work with elders in the DC area and know firsthand how chilly nursing homes can be. We think that veterans without loved ones to spoil them still deserve something special: a unique, cozy, heirloom-quality blanket that's both practical and meaningful.
But we need your help to do it.
5% of every Officially Licensed Military Blanket purchase will go to our "Veteran's Blanket Fund", which covers the cost of producing blankets for veterans living in local nursing homes. We'll gift wrap and hand deliver them, and post pictures and stories on our blog (with permission).
We're hoping to raise enough money to cover the cost of 10 blankets as our first goal. Check the tracker below to see how we're doing, and THANK YOU for your support!

FAQs
Are your blankets officially licensed?
Yes! Becoming an officially licensed retailer for these military branches is not an easy process, so there are a lot of unofficial (meaning unapproved) products floating around out there. Being officially licensed means that the branch has inspected our products and manufacturing process and agreed that Custom Woven Blankets meets their high standards for exceptional quality and ethical production. You can learn more on each branch's page: Army | Navy | Air Force | Space Force
Does a portion of my purchase go back to the branch?
Yes! The Army, Air Force, Space Force, and Navy use the licensing fees that we pay them to fund projects within their respective branches that support wounded warriors, servicemembers, and their families. Visit each branch's page to learn more.
Why don't you have any blankets for the Marine Corps or Coast Guard?
Unfortunately, neither branch is currently accepting new licensees. We are working with each branch in the hopes of changing that in the future!
