CWB Veterans Blanket Fund
Help Us Gift 10 Custom Blankets to Veterans in Local Nursing Homes This Year

This business started in 2018 because my Dad, Paul, volunteered with a group providing Christmas gifts to veterans in nursing homes. He created custom cotton blankets with the emblem of the veteran's branch of service, their name, and service dates. They were a HUGE hit, sparking reminiscing and conversation even among the "silent types." The rich, bold colors in the throws also brightened up the veterans' rooms, which in care facilities are often shades of beige or white.
I now work with elders in the DC area and know firsthand how chilly nursing homes can be. We think that veterans without loved ones to spoil them still deserve something special: a unique, cozy, heirloom-quality blanket that's both practical and meaningful.
But we need your help to do it.
5% of every Officially Licensed Navy Blanket purchase will go to our "Veteran's Blanket Fund", which covers the cost of producing blankets for veterans living in local nursing homes. We'll gift wrap and hand deliver them, and post pictures and stories on our blog (with permission). If you don't have a need for a military blanket, here's how to support our mission anyway.
We're hoping to raise enough to cover the cost of 10 blankets as our first goal, for the 2025 holiday season. Check the tracker below to see how we're doing, and THANK YOU for your support!

FAQs
Why don't you have any blankets for the Coast Guard or Marine Corps?
The Coast Guard is not currently accepting new licensees, unfortunately, but we are keeping an eye on the situation in hopes it changes. We are actively pursuing the Marine Corps trademark license, but do not yet have an ETA on that approval.
Can I get a military blanket with a design I don't see here?
Absolutely! As our name suggests, we'd love to create something totally custom for you, subject to the intellectual property that is included with each license. Contact us and tell us what you have in mind!
How do you choose which veterans will be the recipients of blankets funded by the Veterans Blanket Fund?
CWB co-owner, Grace, works closely with dozens of long term care facilities in the DC metro area. Once the Veterans Blanket Fund has hit our 2025 funding goal for 10 blankets, she'll be reaching out to administrators to identify appropriate recipients. Keep an eye on this page for news and follow ups!

MWR is a quality-of-life program that directly supports readiness by providing a variety of community and family support programs, activities and services, such as social, fitness, recreational, educational, and other programs and activities that enhance community life, foster unit readiness, promote mental and physical fitness, and generally provide a working and living environment that attracts and retains active duty members, their family members, retirees and its civilian workforce." (Navy)
"Revenues generated from the purchase of officially licensed Air Force and Space Force-branded merchandise have provided almost $10 million in support of morale, welfare, and recreation activities for Airmen, Guardians, veterans, and their families."(DAF)
"By federal law, licensing fees paid to the U.S. Army for the use of its trademarks provide support for the Army Trademark Licensing Program, and net licensing revenue is devoted to U.S. Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs." - Buy with confidence knowing that the these branches only approve businesses that can prove humane, fair working conditions for all involved in producing its licensed goods.
